В статье обоснована актуальность выявления и применения такого популярного метода изучения иностранного языка, как проектный, изменившего ландшафт образования. Метод проектов в обучении иностранному языку в неязыковом вузе делает возможным эффективно влиять на развитие компетенций студентов, формируя творческую и социальную активность, развивая способности, обеспечивающие целостность процесса обучения. Профессионально-ориентированный подход в проектной методике является одной из современных тенденций в сфере образования. Внедрение цифровых образовательных технологий позволяет более эффективно реализовывать на практике представление проектов, а также помогает раскрыть потенциал студентов. В статье также проведён анализ литературы по методу проектов: возникновение метода проектов, классификации проектов и современные тенденции. Цель статьи — представить результаты, показывающие, что применение технологии проектов способствует развитию универсальных и исследовательских компетенций студентов в русле дисциплины «Иностранный язык» неязыковом вузе, и помогает формировать ключевые навыки XXI века, такие как критическое мышление, креативность, сотрудничество и коммуникация, что важно для подготовки квалифицированных специалистов в условиях современного мира. В статье в том числе даётся пояснение о разнице между традиционным методом обучения и методом проектов в образовательном процессе и роли преподавателя при этом. Практическая ценность статьи состоит в том, что авторами был разработан проект по теме «Is Green Economy Really Green?» с его последующим представлением и апробацией. В разделе «Результаты» даётся описание стадий реализации проекта и данные опросов студентов, участвовавших в проекте.
The article substantiates the relevance of identifying and applying such a popular method of learning a foreign language as project-based, which has changed the educational landscape. The project method in teaching a foreign language in a non-linguistic university makes it possible to effectively influence the development of students' competencies, forming creative and social activity, developing abilities that ensure the integrity of the learning process. A professionally oriented approach in project methodology is one of the current trends in the field of education. The introduction of digital educational technologies makes it possible to more effectively implement the presentation of projects in practice, and also helps to unlock the potential of students. The article also analyzes the literature on the project method: the emergence of the project method, project classifications and current trends. The purpose of the article is to present the results showing that the use of project technology contributes to the development of universal and research competencies of students in the framework of the discipline «Foreign Language» at a non-linguistic university, and helps to form key skills of the 21st century, such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication, which is important for the training of qualified specialists in the modern world. The article also explains the difference between the traditional teaching method and the project method in the educational process and the role of the teacher in this process. The practical value of the article lies in the fact that the authors have developed a project on the topic «Is the Green Economy Really Green?» with its subsequent presentation and testing. The «Results» section provides a description of the project implementation stages and survey data from students who participated in the project.
