В статье рассматривается значимость применения метода проектов в процессе изучения дисциплины «Иностранный язык для деловой коммуникации» с целью повышения уровня сформированности иноязычной профессиональной компетентности студентов нелингвистических специальностей вуза. Проектная деятельность рассматривается как мотивирующая студентов к интенсификации самостоятельной деятельности, креативному самовыражению, творческому мышлению, развитию профессионально ориентированных интересов и индивидуально-личностных качеств, осознанию успешности в достижении результата. Анализ теоретических и нормативно-правовых источников позволяет утверждать, что современный этап развития образовательных технологий способствует поиску инновационных путей совершенствования проектной деятельности будущих выпускников инженерных специальностей. Проектная методика в вузе, на занятиях по изучению профессионального иностранного языка, является актуальной, так как направлена на интеграцию развития иноязычных и профессиональных компетенций студентов, которая позволяет повысить уровень мотивации к изучению дисциплин технического и гуманитарного циклов. Цель статьи — рассмотрение специфики организации и направлений развития проектной деятельности в процессе изучения студентами нелингвистических специальностей иностранного языка для профессионально ориентированной коммуникации. Уточнено понятие «проектная деятельность студентов нелингвистических специальностей вуза». Предложено авторское рассмотрение процесса организации проектно-исследовательской деятельности студентов по направлению их профессионально ориентированной специальности с учетом особенностей современного этапа развития образования в режиме смешанного (гибридного) обучения. Рассмотрена значимость применения таких форм проектной деятельности, как работа в команде, деловая тематическая игра, обсуждение проблематики проекта в форме дискуссий «круглого стола», проанализированы этапы проектной деятельности студентов. В работе подчеркивается необходимость усиления междисциплинарного и личностно ориентированного подходов к организации эффективной проектной деятельности в зависимости от специфики уровневой организации пространства высшей школы. Автором статьи было проведено анкетирование студентов нелингвистических специальностей Южного федерального университета с целью выявления мотивирующих факторов в процессе осуществления проектной деятельности. Материал статьи может быть использован для совершенствования процесса организации работы над проектом с целью профессионального развития студентов средствами иностранного языка.
The article discusses the importance of applying the project method in the process of studying the discipline “Foreign language for business communication” in order to increase the level of foreign language professional competence formation of non-linguistic specialties students of the university. Project activity is regarded as motivating students to intensify independent activity, creative self-expression and thinking, to develop professionally oriented interests, individual personal qualities, and awareness of success in achieving results. An analysis of theoretical and legal sources suggests that the current stage of educational technologies development contributes to the search for innovative ways to improve the project activities of future engineering graduates. The project methodology at the university in the process of studying a professional foreign language is relevant as it is aimed at integrating the development of foreign language skills and professional competencies of students, which are important for increasing the level of motivation to study the disciplines of technical and humanitarian cycles. The purpose of the article is to consider the specifics of the organization and directions for the project activities development in the process of studying a foreign language for professionally oriented communication by students of non-linguistic specialties. The concept of “project activity of students of non-linguistic specialties of the university” has been clarified. The author’s consideration of the process of organizing the design and research activities of students in the direction of their professionally oriented specialty is proposed, taking into account the features of the modern stage of education development in the mode of blended learning. The importance of using such forms of project activity as teamwork, business thematic game, discussion of project issues in the form of round table discussions is considered, the stages of students’ project activity are analyzed. The paper emphasizes the need to strengthen interdisciplinary and personality-oriented approaches to the organization of effective project activities, depending on the specifics of the level organization of the Higher Education environment. The author of the article conducted a survey of students of non-linguistic specialties of the Southern Federal University in order to identify motivating factors in the process of implementing project activities. The material of the article can be used to improve the process of organizing work on a project for the professional development of students by means of a foreign language.
