<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The article presents an overview of modern foreign studies of socially aggressive behavior in children and adolescents. This study provides an idea of the vectors of foreign empirical research over the past 5 years, the degree of development of the problem of socially aggressive behavior in children and adolescents. The search for foreign research materials was carried out in the Science Direct search system (www.sciencedirect.com), which includes publications indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The authors study the negative consequences of such behavior for physical and mental health. The main factors of socially aggressive behavior in children and adolescents were identified: family, school, and individual psychological characteristics, which act not only as risk factors, but also as protective factors. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between socially aggressive behavior and Internet addiction, bullying and cyberbullying. It is noted that pathological online behavior (digital addiction, cyber aggression, cyber bullying, cyber stalking, etc.) is assessed in foreign studies as a public health problem. A separate block of studies is devoted to the issues of prevention of socially aggressive behavior in children and adolescents. An important role is given to the study of mechanisms that promote prosocial behavior and containment of aggressive behavior, namely, the creation of a child-friendly social environment, effective group programs for the prevention of aggressive behavior, and the development of emotional regulation skills in children and adolescents. However, despite the diversity of foreign studies on the topic of socially aggressive behavior in children and adolescents, very little attention is paid to the consequences of such behavior for the mental health of children and adolescents, and no clear data on the prevalence of these consequences are presented.
