В статье рассматриваются основные аспекты мотивации при обучении английскому языку студентов спортивных вузов. За основу берется понятие мотивации, которое дает И.А. Зимняя. Автор акцентирует внимание на проблеме мотивации у изучающих иностранный язык. Изучив результаты зарубежных исследователей по данной проблеме, автор подчеркивает важность и необходимость мотивации, так как мотивированные учащиеся выступают основой продуктивного и успешного обучения иностранному языку. Также автор говорит о связи успеха и мотивации в изучении языка. Особую роль играет преподаватель иностранного языка. Он создает предпосылки и формирует основания, на базе которых у учащихся возникает личная заинтересованность в работе. В статье рассматриваются основные виды мотивации и как они реализуются при обучении иностранному языку. Более подробно автор останавливается на коммуникативной мотивации, рассматривая ее значение и роль при обучении английскому языку студентов спортивных вузов. Коммуникативная разновидность внутренней мотивации рассматривается как основная, так как коммуникативность — это первая и естественная потребность изучающих иностранный язык. Так как одной из целей изучения иностранного языка является профессиональная, автор выбирает сферу профессионального спорта и сосредотачивает внимание на английском языке, как языке межнационального общения современного мира. В статье рассматриваются причины изучения профессиональными спортсменами английского языка и способы мотивирования студентов спортивных вузов.
The article discusses the main aspects of motivation in teaching English to students of sports universities. The concept of motivation, which is given by I.A. Zimnaya, is taken as a basis. The author focuses on the problem of motivation among foreign language learners. Having studied the results of foreign researchers on this issue, the author emphasizes the importance and necessity of motivation, since motivated students are the basis for productive and successful foreign language teaching. The author also talks about the connection between success and motivation in language learning. A foreign language teacher plays a special role. It creates the prerequisites and forms the foundations on the basis of which students develop a personal interest in their work. The article discusses the main types of motivation and how they are implemented in teaching a foreign language. The author focuses in more detail on communicative motivation, considering its importance and role in teaching English to students of sports universities. The communicative type of internal motivation is considered as the main one, since communication is the first and natural need of foreign language learners. Since one of the goals of learning a foreign language is professional, the author chooses the field of professional sports and focuses on English as the language of international communication in the modern world. The article discusses the reasons why professional athletes learn English and how to motivate students of sports universities.
