В статье обобщены и проанализированы результаты ряда зарубежных исследований вопроса взаимосвязи наличия высшего образования и формирования ценностей и убеждений. Выявлены две противоположные, но взаимосвязанные тенденции, такие как: ощутимое влияние глобализации и сохранение традиционных ценностей. Что отражает взаимодействие между социальными изменениями, связанными с модернизацией и глобализацией, влияющими на популярную культуру и традиционные ценности, характерные для конкретных стран. Подчеркивается, что увеличение числа людей с высшим образованием с новыми ценностями доминирует над уменьшающемся количеством людей с прежними ценностями. Были рассмотрены шесть базовых ценностей: семья, друзья, досуг, работа, политика и религия, и влияние высшего образования на воспринимаемую значимость каждой из них; степень значимости ценности в зависимости от пола, поколения и места проживания. Выявляется отсутствие статистических различий в оценке семьи и работы у лиц с высшим образованием и без него, а также статистически значимое положительное влияние на склонность выпускников вузов в оценке дружбы, досуга и политики, как и значимого понижения религиозности.

The article summarizes and analyzes the results of a number of foreign studies on the relationship between the availability of higher education and the formation of values and beliefs. Two opposing but interrelated trends have been identified, such as: the tangible impact of globalization and the preservation of traditional values. Which reflects the interaction between social changes associated with modernization and globalization, affecting popular culture and traditional values characteristic of specific countries. It is emphasized that the increasing number of people with higher education with new values dominates the decreasing number of people with old values. Six core values were examined: family, friends, leisure, work, politics and religion, and the influence of higher education on the perceived importance of each of them; the degree of importance of value depending on gender, generation and place of residence. It is revealed that there are no statistical differences in the assessment of family and work between persons with and without higher education, as well as a statistically significant positive effect on the propensity of university graduates in assessing friendship, leisure and politics, as well as a significant decrease in religiosity.
