<abstract xml:lang="ru">

The present study aimed to predict sexual desire based on emotional self-regulation, experiential avoidance, and depression symptoms in married female students. Methodology: the study had a descriptive nature and was conducted within a predictive correlational cross-sectional design. The target population comprised all married female students of Altai State University in the 2025 academic year (143 individuals), of whom 112 respondents were surveyed using a convenience sampling method. Inclusion and exclusion criteria were clearly defined, and all ethical standards were observed, including obtaining informed consent and ensuring confidentiality. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis with SPSS software (version 26). Findings: the results indicated a positive and significant relationship between cognitive reappraisal and sexual desire, as well as a negative and significant relationship between procrastination, suppression/denial, distress tolerance, experiential avoidance, and depression with sexual desire (P < 0,01). Furthermore, regression analysis results showed that depression, cognitive reappraisal, and procrastination were able to predict participants' sexual desire by 0,25, 0,26, and 0,24, respectively. Conclusions: the results of this study demonstrated that emotional self-regulation, experiential avoidance, and depression play an important role in the formation of sexual desire among the participants. The findings suggest that developing emotional regulation skills and increasing awareness of experiential avoidance can be considered significant factors contributing to the enhancement of sexual desire in this population.
